Trinkets of Hope was founded by Ana Lema after a deeply personal journey of confronting the quiet, but profound, discouragement she felt about her body. Out of this awareness grew a vision: to create a movement that uplifts, empowers, and reminds every individual of their value. Since then, Trinkets of Hope has stood as a youth-led beacon of advocacy, education, and community support, working to cultivate body positivity and expand awareness around the realities of eating disorders.

In the summer of 2023, Ana Lema sketches an idea on a piece of paper in an office in her mother's work. Born from passion, yet with little knowledge of eating disorder support groups and youth-led organizations alike. What begins as a simple thought grows into a recognized nonprofit dedicated to advocating for body positivity and eating disorder awareness.
Founded at Spanish River High School in August 2023, Trinkets of Hope became the first mental health–focused student organization on campus to establish a dedicated bulletin board outside the administrators’ offices.
In September 2023, Trinkets of Hope established a partnership with Psychiatry of the Palm Beaches and launched volunteer-led deliveries to nearby mental health clinics, expanding their mission of support and outreach.
Within mere months of its inception, Trinkets of Hope’s Spanish River High School chapter garnered the support of over 100 student volunteers, facilitating the delivery of more than 300 units of essential supplies by April of 2024.
In November 2024, Trinkets of Hope (TOH) hosted its inaugural holiday drive in collaboration with the Spanish River chapter of the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), successfully collecting over 550 units of essential supplies. The event drew a significant number of students, who participated in assembling the donations into holiday baskets for psychiatric clinics embedded within the local community.
In January 2025, Trinkets of Hope, having completed a series of interviews and workshops, was selected as a finalist group for the 10th annual cohort of the Philanthropy Tank organization.

In June 2025, Trinkets of Hope was formally introduced to Viamar Health, a West Palm Beach-based clinic specializing in eating disorder support, and cultivated connections with its alumni program under the guidance of Ethan LeFever, facilitated by mentor Caitlen Macias.
